Anna Lafferty is an award-winning book and graphic designer. She has created and produced books and covers for indie authors and publishers as well as teaching graphic design, typography and publication design at Santa Barbara City College. She was the Intern Coordinator for the SBCC Media Arts Internship program for many years. |
Anna has lectured on publication & book design for various organizations and colleges, including
the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. She is available to speak or participate in panel discussions related to digital publications, design, and their future.
Anna was raised in Santa Barbara and has a BA from UCLA in Applied Arts, a MAEd from the University of Hartford College of Art and an MFA in Visual Communications from Syracuse University. She attended Art Center College of Design in Advertising Design and was a Mellon Faculty Fellow in the graphic design graduate department at Yale University. She is a founding member and has served on the board and as Education Director of AIGA, Santa Barbara, and is
on the board of the Friends of the Santa Barbara Public Library.
She lives with her husband in Santa Barbara and, when not working, enjoys traveling with him
and her twin sister, and being with their 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren!
